Each format delivers messages that are designed with a purpose and intention which as consumers is very important to identify to avoid falling into believing fake information. That is why critical thinking and media literacy have become crucial in the current state of the world. First, it is important to define these terms. Critical thinking is the ability to analyze data and moving beyond superficial understanding by questioning the values, ideologies and intentions that lie beneath the content we consume. Media literacy is closely linked to critical thinking; it entails reading with the aim of uncovering hidden messages, being aware of bias and reflect on the language being used.
